2010 Contest
Gingerbread House in a Christmas Theme
CONTEST RULES:
The Gingerbread House entry may be no bigger than 8"x8", with the total entry no bigger than 16"x16" with a base.
Entries must be made of edible ingredients: such as gingerbread dough, graham crackers, icing and candies.
LOCAL CONTEST:
Exhibits may be entered at any
fair which is a member of the Litchfield County Council of Fairs.
Contestants may enter their exhibit in as many fairs as they wish until
they win first prize. At that time they will be representing that fair at the Litchfield Country Council of fairs Contest in the Fall.
If it is hound that the contestant has entered and won first prize in more than on LCCFair, they will be disqualified from participating in the LCCofFairs Contest in the Fall.
If for any reason the first place contestant cannot participate in the Fall Contest, the second place winner will be the representative.
First prize winners at each fair in both the Youth
and Adult Divisions will be awarded Blue Rosettes by the Litchfield
County Council of Fairs. Local winners must contact the Secretary of that fair
for information about dinner reservations, time and place of the fall
meeting.
COUNTY CONTEST: First prize winners from each
fair in each division will be eligible to enter their exhibit
in the County Contest to be held at the fall meeting of the Litchfield
County Council of Fairs, the last Wednesday of October. Entries
must be in place by 6:30 p.m. to be judged.
COUNTY PRIZES: Rosettes and cash prizes will
be awarded in each Division as follows:
$25.00 - First Place
$20.00 - Second Place
$15.00 - Third Place
$10.00 - Fourth Place
$5.00 - Fifth
Rosette - Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Places
